Sale nero – farlo in casa è semplicissimo!

Autoprodurre il proprio sale nero è semplicissimo! Ispirandoci al sale nero di Cipro utilizziamo il carbone vegetale. Si può acquistare in erboristeria in pasticche o già ridotto in polvere. Se, come noi utilizzate il carbone della vostra stufa a legna o del camino dovrete essere certi che non derivi dalla combustione di legname verniciato o con colle. Per prima cosa l’abbiamo ridotto in polvere in un mortaio e poi, per renderlo finissimo lo abbiamo triturato in un macinacaffè. Fatto ciò abbiamo aggiunto un goccetto d’acqua per creare un’omogenea amalgama. Infine l’abbiamo ben mescolato a del comune sale grosso. Non ci è restato, infine, che metterlo ad asciugare su una blanda fonte di calore (termosifone, forno della cucina economica aperto o semplicemente all’aria) girandolo di tanto in tanto per evitare che, asciugandosi, diventasse un unico blocco nero. Non solo estetica ma anche gusto! Non vi resta che fare il vostro sale nero e assaporarne tutte le sue sfumature cromatiche, olfattive e gustative!

Self-producing your own black salt is very simple! Inspired by the black salt of Cyprus, we use charcoal. It can be purchased in herbal medicine in tablets or already reduced to powder. If, like us, you use the coal from your wood-burning stove or fireplace, you must be sure that it does not come from the combustion of varnished wood or with glues. First we reduced it to powder in a mortar and then, to make it very fine, we ground it in a coffee grinder. Once this was done we added a drop of water to create a homogeneous amalgam. Finally we mixed it well with common coarse salt. Finally, we just had to put it to dry on a mild heat source (radiator, open stove oven or simply in the air) turning it from time to time to prevent it from becoming a single black block as it dries. Not only aesthetics but also taste! All you have to do is make your own black salt and savor all its chromatic, olfactory and gustatory nuances!
